Interdisciplinarity
Interdisciplinarity is part of the DNA of Aix-Marseille University which manages many actions and structures dedicated to this development of interdisciplinary research, including : the Institute for Advanced Studies Iméra; the mission for interdisciplinarity and the AMU institutes. The four thematic axes will be addressed with an interdisciplinarity scientific approach and the fellows will be supervised by two scientists from two fields of research.
Intersectorality
Intersectorality relies on the strong network of AMU with socio-economic and cultural partners. For the benefit of their future career, the fellows will interact with these partners thanks to the following actions: Internship with a non-academic partner; socio-economic mentor; transferable skills training by non-academic partners; networking non-academic events...
Internationality
The international dimension is essential to provide a complete training to the fellows. SCHADOC will strongly rely on, but not limited to, the CIVIS alliance and its Mediterranean and African partners, to develop international PhD projects. The fellows will perform secondment in an international laboratory with a financial support for outgoing mobility during the thesis. They also have the opportunity to attend research trainings provided by CIVIS partners.
