Stage 0 - Call for bottom-up projects
December 1st, 2025 – January 12th, 2026
An international call for the candidates applying to a fellowship to submit their own thesis project. They will be accompanied to find an AMU supervisor.
Stage 1 - Call for top-down projects
December 16th, 2025 – February 13th, 2026
A call for thesis projects open to AMU researchers to submit a thesis research project.
Selection 1 - Thesis Research Projects
February 16th, 2026 – April 10th, 2026
Selection of 40 thesis projects among the projects collected in stage 0 and stage 1.
Stage 2 - Call for candidates
April 13th, 2026 – May 8th, 2026
The selected thesis projects submitted in stage 1 are published in an international, widely disseminated call for candidates.
Selection 2 - Candidates to top-down proposals
May 11th, 2026 - June 5th, 2026
Thesis Selection Committees select one candidate per top-down project to participate in the final stage.
Stage 3 - Interviews and final selection
June 8th, 2026 - June 30th, 2026
The candidates selected at selection 2 and those having submitted a bottom-up project selected at selection 1 are invited to an interview. The top 20 are each offered a 3-years doctoral contract starting at October 1st, 2026.
